Self-Learning AI Threat Actors Are Next.
AI threat actors are right over the horizon.
The link in the headline is a demo of a program that taught itself how to connect with any API, which is pretty cool.
But, it’s also easy to imagine a similar program carrying out a cyber attack that automatically probes networks, conduct advanced social engineering and spear phishing campaigns, and then, rollup all it learned into a highly targeted attack. All customized for your network.
Anyone know of a Good Guy that’s working on this problem?

Interviewing customers is a crucial step in figuring out if you’re building the right security tool.
If you don’t have a sizable customer base that you mine, what do you do? You could reach out to your friends, but they can’t be completely counted on to give you an unbiased opinion, or perhaps they don’t quite fit your target customer profile. You could turn to manually searching LinkedIn, but who do you look for?
The fine folks at Airbyte answered these questions, and much more, with an astonishing level of detail.
It comes down to this extremely compressed list:
List your 3 competitors and find their customers
Use automated tools to scrape social media for a contact list
Create social media campaigns and automate outreach
Refine your messaging
Airbyte used these tactics to hit their goal of 10 demos a week. Two demos a day is plenty if you’re a solopreneur, because remember you have prep and reports to write. If you load yourself up with too many demos, you won’t have time for the 73 other spinning plates you have going.
Airbyte gave you the playbook, you just have to implement it.
